Responsibilities Executes installation, configuration, testing and maintenance of operating systems, application software, and system management tools. Develops and maintains software components, modules, or applications using appropriate programming languages and technologies. Integrates software systems with existing infrastructure, databases, APIs, and third-party services to ensure seamless data flow and functionality. Codes and programs enhancements, updates, and changes for portions and subsystems of systems software, including operating systems, compliers, networking, utilities, databases, and Internet-related tools. Executes established test plans and protocols for assigned portions of code; identifies, logs, and debugs assigned issues. Participates in concept design discussions, gathers system level requirements, clarifies interfaces, provides feedbacks into future design requirements to help develop robust and high-performance solutions. Improves the whole lifecycle of services from inception and design, through deployment, operation, and refinement. Provides support services through activities such as system design consulting, developing software platforms and frameworks, capacity planning, and launch reviews. Develops understanding of and relationship with internal and outsourced development partners on software systems design and development. Participates as a member of project team of other software systems engineers to develop reliable, cost effective and high quality solutions for low to moderately- complex products. Education & Experience Recommended Four-year Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence. Typically has 0-2 years of work experience, preferably in systems engineering, computer programming language, or a related field.
