ABOUT SHUNYA Shunya Sustainable Design LLP is a sustainability design consultancy based in Ahmedabad, working at the intersection of building performance, energy efficiency, and sustainable development. We are a young team of professionals passionate about improving the built environment and driving sustainable impact through design, analysis, and implementation. We are currently looking for a Graduate Sustainability Consultant to join our team and support the design and development of high-performance buildings and systems, and sustainable schemes. At Shunya, you will gain hands-on exposure to end-to-end project delivery — from early-stage design and simulations to on-ground execution, including coordination with agencies, clients, vendors, and site teams. As a growing consultancy, team members are encouraged to contribute beyond technical delivery, including content development, social media outreach, and business development initiatives. ROLE DETAILS Location & Work Mode: • First 2 months: Remote with regular coordination meetings • Post onboarding: May transition to hybrid/Ahmedabad-based depending on project requirements • Openness to site visits and occasional travel preferred Experience • Freshers / 0–2 years (Master's candidates encouraged to apply) KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Integrate passive design strategies into building architecture (façade optimisation, shading, thermal comfort, water efficiency, climate-responsive design) • Support building performance studies, including: Energy modelling & simulations Heat load calculations Thermal comfort analysis Daylight studies CFD & microclimate analysis • Develop sustainability concepts within 2D drawings and 3D/BIM models • Coordinate with vendors, consultants, clients, and site teams for implementation support • Assist in technical reports, certification documentation, and sustainability submissions • Contribute to computational design optimisation and simulation-based decision making • Support technical content preparation, outreach activities, and business development material QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS Preferred Qualification: • Master's in Building Energy Performance or related field Strong understanding of: • Building physics • Passive design strategies • Heat transfer & thermal comfort • Building construction systems Strong analytical ability, problem-solving mindset, communication skills, and willingness to learn PREFERRED SOFTWARE SKILLS Building Performance: • IES VE • DesignBuilder • EnergyPlus / OpenStudio • Ladybug / Honeybee Modelling: • AutoCAD • Rhino + Grasshopper WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM US • Exposure to real sustainability consulting projects across design and execution stages • Hands-on experience in simulations, certifications, and building performance analysis • Direct interaction with architects, developers, clients, and project teams • High ownership and accelerated learning opportunities • Opportunity to grow in alignment with the growth of the company HOW TO APPLY If the above role excites you, please fill the Google Form (https://forms.gle/akWotRGuud5ApYFy8) shared or email your CV/Portfolio to: [HIDDEN TEXT] Subject line: [Application] Graduate Sustainability Consultant – Your Name
