Role Overview We are seeking a Shopify Engineer with strong expertise in platform engineering, systems integrations, and commerce ecosystem evaluation. This role focuses on integrating Shopify with enterprise applications, evaluating third-party tools/platforms, and enabling scalable commerce operations across customer, inventory, fulfillment, and analytics systems. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain Shopify integrations with enterprise systems including ERP, OMS, CRM, WMS, payment gateways, and marketing platforms Evaluate third-party Shopify apps, integration tools, middleware, and automation platforms Build scalable APIs, middleware services, and event-driven integrations Work closely with business stakeholders to assess operational gaps and recommend technical solutions Support integrations with platforms such as Oracle EBS, Elastic Suite, PLM systems, Shopify apps, shipping providers, and customer engagement tools Troubleshoot integration failures, synchronization issues, and performance bottlenecks Define integration architecture, security standards, and deployment practices Collaborate with UI/UX, merchandising, operations, and analytics teams Support automation initiatives for order lifecycle, inventory updates, product synchronization, and customer notifications Participate in solution architecture reviews and platform modernization initiatives Required Skills Strong hands-on experience with Shopify APIs and Shopify Plus Experience with REST APIs, GraphQL, webhooks, middleware, and microservices Strong understanding of eCommerce operations and integrations Experience with tools such as Postman, Azure Integration Services, MuleSoft, Boomi, or custom integration frameworks Knowledge of order management, inventory, fulfillment, and payment workflows Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS Strong debugging and systems analysis skills Preferred Skills Experience with Elastic Suite, Oracle EBS, Kinaxis, PLM, or other enterprise retail platforms Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps practices Exposure to headless commerce and composable architecture Understanding of B2B commerce flows and marketplace integrations
