EasyPlace is a job discovery platform built for students and early-career professionals in India. We pull together verified job and internship listings from multiple sources so you don't have to spend hours searching across the web.

We know that handing over your personal details requires trust. This Privacy Policy is our commitment to being straightforward about what we collect, why we collect it, and who else may have access to it. It is written in plain language, not legal jargon.

By visiting or using EasyPlace, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the platform.

Information We Collect

We collect information in three ways — directly from you, automatically when you use the site, and through your browser's local storage.

A. Information You Provide

  • Contact form — your full name, email address, and any message or job preference you submit when reaching out to us.
  • Newsletter subscription — your email address and phone number when you sign up to receive job alerts and updates.

B. Information Collected Automatically

Certain technical data is captured automatically whenever you interact with EasyPlace, including when you submit a form or browse listings:

  • IP address — captured from your network connection to identify the region you're browsing from and to prevent abuse.
  • Browser and device information — the type of browser, operating system, and device you're using.
  • Timestamps — the exact date and time of your interactions with the platform.
  • Search queries and filters — the keywords you type and filters you apply (domain, location, job type, role) to find jobs.
  • Page views and navigation — which pages you visit and how long you spend on them, collected anonymously via Vercel Analytics.

C. Browser Storage

We use your browser's localStorage to remember small preferences — such as whether you have already subscribed to the newsletter or submitted the contact form. This data never leaves your device and is not sent to our servers.

How We Use Your Information

We use the data we collect only for the purpose of running and improving EasyPlace. We do not sell your personal data to any third party.

  • To send job alerts and newsletters to subscribers who have opted in.
  • To respond to your contact form inquiries and support requests.
  • To improve job search relevance by understanding which roles, locations, and domains users search for most.
  • To monitor platform performance and resolve technical issues.
  • To operate our internal admin panel and manage job listing data securely.

Advertising on EasyPlace

EasyPlace displays advertisements served by Google AdSense and other third-party ad networks. These ads help us keep the platform free for everyone.

How Ad Personalization Works

Google and other ad partners use cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies to collect information about your browsing behavior — both on EasyPlace and across other websites. This data is used to show you ads that are more relevant to your interests.

The information collected by ad partners typically includes your IP address, browser type, pages visited, time on page, and prior interactions with ads. EasyPlace does not control what ad partners collect once those tracking technologies are active in your browser.

Opting Out of Personalized Ads

  • Visit Google Ad Settings (adssettings.google.com) to manage or opt out of personalized ads from Google.
  • Use the NAI opt-out tool at optout.networkadvertising.org to opt out across multiple ad networks at once.
  • Install a browser extension that blocks ad tracking, such as Privacy Badger or uBlock Origin.
  • Disable third-party cookies entirely through your browser's privacy settings.

Opting out of personalized ads does not mean you will see fewer ads — it means the ads you see will be less tailored to your browsing history.

Cookies & Tracking Technologies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. EasyPlace uses both first-party and third-party cookies for different purposes:

  • First-party (localStorage) — remembers your newsletter subscription status and whether you have already submitted the contact form.
  • Vercel Analytics — collects anonymised page views and performance metrics. No personally identifiable information is tracked.
  • Google AdSense — sets cookies for ad serving and personalization based on your browsing history.
  • Other ad networks — may set their own cookies for third-party ad delivery and retargeting.

You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or alert you when one is being set. Most browsers have controls under Settings → Privacy. Keep in mind that disabling cookies may affect how certain parts of EasyPlace function.

Third-Party Services We Use

Running EasyPlace requires a small number of trusted third-party services. Each has their own privacy policy governing how they handle data.

  • Google AdSense — handles ad delivery on EasyPlace. May set cookies and track browsing activity for personalization. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
  • Vercel Analytics — collects anonymised page view and performance data. No personally identifiable information is shared.
  • MongoDB Atlas — our cloud database where contact form submissions, newsletter subscriber records, and job listing data are stored securely.
  • Vercel — EasyPlace is hosted on Vercel's infrastructure. Server logs and request data may be retained as part of standard hosting operations.
  • Google Gemini API — used internally by our admin team to assist with processing job description data. This API is not exposed to end users.

Data Storage & Security

All personally identifiable data you submit — contact form details and newsletter subscriptions — is stored in a MongoDB Atlas cloud database hosted on secure infrastructure with access control restrictions.

We implement technical measures to protect your data from unauthorised access:

  • Environment-based secret management for database credentials and API keys
  • Session-based authentication for all admin operations
  • HTTPS encryption for all data in transit
  • Admin dashboard access restricted to authorised personnel only

No system on the internet can guarantee 100% security. While we take reasonable precautions, you submit data at your own risk and we cannot be held liable for any breach beyond our reasonable control.

We retain your submitted data only as long as it is needed. Contact messages are addressed promptly, and subscriber data is retained until you choose to unsubscribe.

Children's Privacy

EasyPlace is designed for students and early-career professionals, meaning our typical users are college students aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 13.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has submitted personal information to EasyPlace without your consent, please contact us immediately. We will promptly delete any such data from our records.

Your Rights

You have the following rights with respect to your personal data held by EasyPlace:

  • Right to access — you can request a copy of the personal data we have stored about you.
  • Right to correction — if any information we hold is inaccurate or incomplete, you can ask us to correct it.
  • Right to deletion — you can request that we delete your name, email address, phone number, or any other personal data we hold.
  • Right to unsubscribe — opt out of newsletters and job alerts at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email we send, or by contacting us directly.
  • Right to withdraw consent — where you have provided consent for us to use your data, you can withdraw it at any time.

Newsletter & Email Communications

When you subscribe on EasyPlace, you are opting in to receive job alerts, curated listings, platform updates, and career tips via email. We do not send promotional emails on behalf of any third party.

If you provided your phone number at the time of subscription, we may also reach out via SMS for time-sensitive job notifications. You can withdraw this consent at any time.

To unsubscribe, click the unsubscribe link at the footer of any email we send. Alternatively, contact us directly and we will remove you from the list within 48 hours.

Changes to This Policy

As EasyPlace grows, our data practices may evolve. When we update this Privacy Policy, the Last Updated date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision.

We will not retroactively apply significant changes to data you have already submitted without giving you an opportunity to review them. For major changes, we may notify subscribers directly.

We recommend revisiting this page periodically. Continued use of EasyPlace after any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
