Full stack roles ask freshers to be comfortable moving between frontend and backend — typically a JS framework like React on the frontend, Node.js or a similar backend, and a database like MongoDB or PostgreSQL underneath (the classic MERN or similar stack). Startups and mid-sized product companies hire disproportionately more full stack freshers than large IT services firms, since a smaller team benefits from people who can ship an entire feature end to end. Expect interviewers to probe both sides lightly rather than one side deeply — a working project that touches UI, API, and database is worth more here than mastery of any single layer. Fresher full stack salaries range ₹4–10 LPA at startups and product companies, occasionally higher with strong project work or a relevant internship already on the resume. To stand out, deploy at least one full project live (Vercel, Render, or Railway all have free tiers) so interviewers can click through something real instead of reading about it.
