About the Role We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated NPD Intern to support our Nutraceutical and Functional Foods product development team. The intern will work closely with the NPD and Quality teams on packaging label iterations, raw material and finished goods testing, and lab coordination. Key Responsibilities Packaging Label Iterations • Support the development and iterative review of packaging labels for gummy products • Ensure accuracy of ingredient declarations, nutritional information, claims, and allergen statements on all labels • Ensure all labels comply with FSSAI Labelling & Display Regulations 2020 and relevant amendments • Coordinate with internal teams for label approvals and maintain version control of label iterations Raw Material (RM) & Finished Goods (FG) Testing • Assist in raw material testing – coordinate sample collection, COA tracking, and documentation • Support finished goods testing – assist in sample dispatch, result tracking, and test record maintenance • Maintain batch documentation, trial records, and test reports in an organized and accurate manner Lab Coordination • Coordinate with internal and/or external labs for sample submissions and follow-ups • Track and document results received from the lab in a timely manner • Support the NPD team in day-to-day formulation and product development activities Lab Trials & Formulation Work This role is heavily hands-on. The candidate should be comfortable spending approximately 60% of their time in the lab, actively working on product trials and formulation activities, including: • Preparation and iteration of gummy trials – working with pectin-based systems, base ratios, active ingredient incorporation, and texture optimization • Iteration of powder blends and premix formulations for nutraceutical and functional food products • Handling and evaluation of raw materials (RMs) – assessing quality, functionality, and suitability for formulations • Documenting trial observations, deviations, and iteration results in detail • Working closely with the NPD lead to refine formulations based on trial outcomes • Maintaining lab hygiene, equipment, and sample integrity as per GMP standards Requirements • B.Tech / M.Tech in Food Technology, Food Science, or related field • Prior exposure to gummy formulation, confectionery, or nutraceutical product development is a plus • Hands-on, lab-first mindset – comfortable with physical trial work and long bench hours • Knowledge of FSSAI Labelling & Display Regulations 2020 is mandatory • Familiarity with RM/FG quality testing processes and lab workflows • Good documentation skills; proficiency in MS Excel / Google Sheets • Strong attention to detail and ability to coordinate across teams • Immediate joiner preferred
