Registered under the BPT Act 1951 as Royal Commonwealth Society for the Blind, Sightsavers India collaborates with local partners to improve lives and create inclusive communities. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Fundraiser role based in Coimbatore. The Fundraiser will be responsible for identifying and engaging potential donors, nurturing donor relationships, and securing financial support for Sightsavers initiatives. Responsibilities include planning and executing fundraising campaigns, developing persuasive communication materials, and tracking fundraising progress to achieve financial goals. The role also involves liaising with various stakeholders to build awareness and maintain transparency in fund utilization. Qualifications Skills in donor relationship management, networking, and stakeholder engagement Experience in planning and executing fundraising campaigns and events Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to craft compelling proposals and presentations Knowledge of fundraising tools, budgeting, and financial reporting Proficiency in digital marketing and social media strategy to support fundraising efforts Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to various stakeholders needs Proven ability to meet fundraising targets and deadlines Experience working in development organizations or the nonprofit sector is an asset Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, or a related field Passion for supporting social causes and creating positive change
