Role Overview We are seeking a Staff Support Engineer with strong expertise in SQL and application/data support to manage and enhance our enterprise platforms. This role is highly execution-driven and requires deep problem-solving ability, strong ownership, and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will work closely with Engineering, QA, and Product teams to ensure system stability, data accuracy, and efficient issue resolution. Key Responsibilities Must Have Skills Investigate and resolve application and data-related issues Write, debug, and optimize complex SQL queries Perform accurate data corrections with proper validation Troubleshoot production issues using logs and monitoring tools Analyze system workflows and conduct impact analysis Maintain clear documentation and ticket updates Collaborate effectively with Engineering, QA, and Product teams Take end-to-end ownership of assigned tasks and ensure closure Required Skills & Qualifications Strong proficiency in SQL: (Complex joins, debugging, and performance optimization) Experience in Application Support / TechOps / Data Support roles Solid understanding of system logic, APIs, and data flows Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills Good written and verbal communication skills High attention to detail and self-driven execution Proficiency in MS Excel for data analysis, validation, and reporting Good to Have Experience working in production support environments and handling incidents Familiarity with log analysis and monitoring tools for troubleshooting Exposure to data validation techniques and data integrity checks Experience handling large datasets and SQL performance tuning Basic understanding of API debugging and system integrations Exposure to cloud platforms (preferably Azure) with focus on data and app services Ability to read and understand backend code (e.g., .NET/C#) for issue analysis Experience with ticketing tools such as JIRA, ServiceNow, etc. Exposure to structured support processes and SLA-driven environments Behavioural Competencies Strong sense of ownership and accountability Structured and detail-oriented work approach Proactive and clear communicator High focus on accuracy and quality Curiosity and willingness to learn systems in depth
