About the Role
In this Medical Coding role, you'll work with lifescience and paramedical students to analyze and interpret medical data, ensuring accurate and efficient coding for research and clinical purposes. Your day-to-day tasks will involve reviewing medical records, identifying relevant codes, and maintaining databases to support research and development in the medical field.
As a Medical Coding professional, you'll be responsible for staying up-to-date with the latest medical coding standards, guidelines, and regulations to ensure compliance and accuracy in your work.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and analyze medical records, reports, and other documents to identify relevant codes and data
- Apply medical coding standards, guidelines, and regulations to ensure accurate and efficient coding
- Maintain databases and records to support research and development in the medical field
- Collaborate with lifescience and paramedical students to ensure accurate and efficient coding
- Stay up-to-date with the latest medical coding standards, guidelines, and regulations
- Develop and maintain coding systems and databases to support research and development
- Provide training and support to lifescience and paramedical students on medical coding best practices
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as biology, biomedical, biotechnology, biochemistry, or bioinformatics
- Strong understanding of medical coding standards, guidelines, and regulations
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools, such as medical coding software and databases
