About the Role

As a Medical Coding Fresher at ACHIEVERS SPOT, you will be responsible for reviewing medical records and assigning standardized codes to diagnoses and procedures. This role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to learn and apply complex coding systems.

You will work closely with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and efficient coding, and contribute to the development of coding policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and analyze medical records to identify diagnoses and procedures
• Assign standardized codes to diagnoses and procedures using ICD-10 and CPT coding systems
• Ensure accuracy and consistency in coding, adhering to company policies and industry standards
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to resolve coding discrepancies and improve coding practices
• Participate in coding audits and quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
• Stay up-to-date with changes in coding systems and industry regulations, and apply this knowledge to improve coding practices
• Contribute to the development of coding policies and procedures, and provide input on coding-related projects and initiatives

Skills & Qualifications

• Medical coding certification (e.g. CPC, CCS, CMC)
• Strong understanding of ICD-10 and CPT coding systems
• Ability to learn and apply complex coding systems
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Effective communication and collaboration skills
• Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g. health information management, medical records administration)
