About the Role
This Business Development Executive cum Bank Mitra role at Airtel Payments Bank involves driving new customer acquisition for various products, including savings accounts, digital payment solutions, and merchant services, by engaging with local communities and businesses.
The individual will manage daily banking point operations, assist customers with account opening, KYC processes, cash-in/cash-out transactions, and digital product usage, ensuring high standards of service and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive new customer acquisition for Airtel Payments Bank products, including savings accounts, digital payment solutions, and merchant services.
- Manage daily banking point operations, ensuring high standards of service and compliance.
- Assist customers with account opening, KYC processes, cash-in/cash-out transactions, and digital product usage.
- Generate leads, convert prospects, and maintain relationships with existing customers and partners to support growth targets.
- Report performance metrics, provide feedback from the field, conduct basic financial literacy and product awareness sessions.
- C coordinate closely with regional teams to implement sales campaigns and service initiatives.
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong New Business Development and Lead Generation skills.
- Business and Account Management skills to oversee banking point operations and maintain customer relationships.
- Solid Communication skills to explain products clearly and support customers of diverse backgrounds.
- Basic understanding of banking, payments, or financial services.
- Comfort using smartphones, digital apps, and POS devices.
- Minimum educational qualification typically at higher secondary level or above.
- Graduate degree in business or related fields is an advantage.
- Prior experience in sales, microfinance, telecom, or banking is beneficial.
- Knowledge of local language(s) and the Siliguri market.
