About the Role

In this Apprentice – Credit & Fraud Risk role, you'll be working closely with the Credit & Fraud Risk (CFR) team to support data-driven projects and analytics initiatives. Your primary focus will be on building reports, dashboards, and insights using large datasets. You'll also collaborate with analysts, data scientists, and product partners to develop and test risk strategies and product features.

Key Responsibilities

• Support data stewardship projects within the CFR team to ensure data quality and integrity.
• Build reports, dashboards, and insights using large datasets to inform business decisions.
• Assist in developing and testing risk strategies and product features in collaboration with analysts, data scientists, and product partners.
• Work with various data tools and technologies to extract insights and drive business outcomes.
• Learn and apply American Express tools, processes, and risk-management practices to drive business growth.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution and delivery.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation and improvement.

Skills & Qualifications

• Data Science: Apply data analysis and machine learning techniques to drive business outcomes.
• MS Excel: Proficiency in using Excel for data analysis, visualization, and reporting.
• Express.js: Familiarity with Node.js and Express.js for building scalable and efficient applications.
• Python: Knowledge of Python programming language for data analysis, machine learning, and automation.
• SQL: Proficiency in using SQL for data querying, manipulation, and analysis.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with ability to work in a team environment.
