Audit Clerk

About the Role

As an Audit Clerk at Amit Ray & Co; Chartered Accountants, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and review of financial statements, conducting audits, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This role requires strong analytical and communication skills, as well as proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software. You will work closely with the audit team to identify and address any issues or discrepancies in financial records.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and review of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Conduct audits of financial records to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Identify and address any issues or discrepancies in financial records, and recommend corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional customer service and communication.
• Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting standards, laws, and regulations, and ensure compliance with these changes.
• Assist in the preparation of audit reports, including drafting and editing reports, and ensuring timely submission.
• Collaborate with the audit team to identify and address any audit risks or issues.

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address complex issues.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, including advanced formulas and functions.
• Experience with accounting software, including data entry and analysis.
• Familiarity with financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Knowledge of accounting standards, laws, and regulations, including GAAP and IFRS.
