About the Role
In this role, you will be working closely with medical professionals to ensure the smooth operation of anesthesia procedures and surgical operations in the operating theater. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in the preparation and maintenance of equipment, as well as providing support to the anesthesiologist during procedures.
As an OT Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized operating theater, ensuring that all equipment is in good working order, and assisting with the setup and breakdown of surgical equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of anesthesia equipment, including ventilators, anesthesia machines, and monitors.
- Provide support to the anesthesiologist during procedures, including administering medications and monitoring patient vital signs.
- Maintain a clean and organized operating theater, including disposing of biohazardous waste and restocking supplies.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of surgical equipment, including tables, lights, and anesthesia machines.
- Monitor and maintain anesthesia records, including patient charts and medication administration records.
- Collaborate with other medical professionals to ensure smooth operation of surgical procedures.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest anesthesia techniques and technologies.
