About the Role
As an intern in the Taxation Department at ATMS, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and submission of tax returns, conducting research on tax laws and regulations, and analyzing financial data to ensure compliance with tax requirements.
Day-to-day tasks may include reviewing tax documents, communicating with clients, and maintaining accurate records of tax-related information.
This role is ideal for individuals with a strong foundation in commerce and a keen interest in taxation.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and submission of tax returns for clients.
- Conduct research on tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance with tax requirements.
- Analyze financial data to identify potential tax savings and ensure accurate tax reporting.
- Review tax documents and identify any errors or discrepancies.
- Communicate with clients to clarify tax-related queries and provide guidance on tax compliance.
- Maintain accurate records of tax-related information, including client data and tax returns.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure that clients are informed and compliant.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of tax portals, online compliance, and tax laws.
- Ability to work with deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Basic accounting knowledge, including financial statement analysis and budgeting.
- Basic knowledge of TDS tax compliance and direct and indirect taxation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
