PVT Testing Analyst

About the Role

In this role as a PVT Testing Analyst at Barclays, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of software products by planning, executing, and managing tests. Your day-to-day tasks will involve analyzing defects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and providing insights to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and execute manual and automated tests to ensure software products meet quality standards.
• Analyze defects, identify root causes, and collaborate with development teams to resolve issues.
• Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure comprehensive testing.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand customer needs and validate product functionality.
• Identify and report production issues, and work with teams to resolve them efficiently.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of automation testing concepts and tools to improve testing efficiency.
• Communicate test results and insights to stakeholders, and provide recommendations for process improvements.

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
• Experience with functional testing, automation testing, and defect management tools.
• Knowledge of test planning, root cause analysis, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Basic understanding of programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
