Role Summary As an AI Engineer Intern in the AI Center of Excellence (CoE), you will learn and contribute to the design, development, and integration of AI-driven solutions using pre-trained Large Language Models (LLMs), traditional machine learning techniques, and deterministic approaches. This role provides hands-on exposure to Generative AI, enterprise integrations, and end-to-end AI solution development, including backend services, data pipelines, AI orchestration, and basic user interfaces. You will work closely with experienced AI engineers and gain practical experience on real-world enterprise AI use cases. Key Responsibilities AI & Generative AI Development • Assist in building AI solutions using pre-trained LLMs for chat, summarization, and information retrieval. • Support RAG-based implementations connecting LLMs with structured and unstructured enterprise data. • Help develop and test basic ML models, AI agents, and rule-based logic under guidance. • Learn and support AI orchestration using tools such as LangChain and n8n. Full-Stack & Enterprise Integration • Assist in building simple user interfaces for AI-enabled applications. • Support backend API development using Python frameworks. • Help integrate AI components with enterprise platforms such as ServiceNow, SAP, Salesforce, and Azure services. Data, Testing & Deployment • Support data preparation, preprocessing, and quality checks for AI solutions. • Assist with testing, debugging, and deployment of AI services. • Help document AI workflows, integrations, and development processes. Learning & Collaboration • Learn enterprise AI best practices through hands-on work and mentorship. • Collaborate with AI, data, and platform teams on assigned modules. • Gradually take ownership of tasks as skills and confidence grow. Eligibility Requirements • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Computer Science, AI, Data Science, Electronics, or related fields). • Must be in the final year of the program with approximately 12 months remaining before graduation. • Available for a full-time, on-site 12-month internship in Bangalore. • Strong interest in AI, Machine Learning, and Generative AI. Required Technical Skills • Programming: Basic to intermediate knowledge of Python. • AI Fundamentals: Understanding of machine learning and introductory Generative AI concepts. • Data Basics: Familiarity with structured/unstructured data and basic data preprocessing. • Backend Basics: Exposure to backend development using frameworks such as Flask or FastAPI. • APIs: Understanding of REST APIs and basic integration concepts. • Cloud Awareness: Introductory familiarity with Azure or other cloud platforms. Required Soft Skills • Strong learning mindset and curiosity for AI technologies. • Willingness to take ownership of tasks with guidance. • Clear communication and ability to work in a team environment. • Analytical thinking and problem-solving attitude. Preferred Skills / Experience • Academic projects or coursework involving ML, NLP, or Generative AI. • Exposure to LLMs, prompt engineering, or RAG through projects or internships. • Familiarity with frontend technologies such as React or basic web development. • Awareness of responsible AI concepts. • Exposure to low-code or automation tools (e.g., Microsoft Power Platform).
