Functional Tester- Client Reporting

About the Role

This role involves working as a testing specialist, responsible for designing, executing, and automating functional tests for a client reporting application called REVAL. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in test-case design, test execution, automation scripting, and defect management across desktop and web applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Write functional or regression test cases for the REVAL application.
• Document test results and follow up with the development team for resolving issues.
• Perform System Integration Testing (SIT) and regression testing as per the release plan.
• Develop and maintain functional test suites, applying object-oriented principles to create reusable test components.
• Guide junior testers in best-practice methodologies and tools.
• Collaborate with the Business Analyst to understand requirements and perform test validations.

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Strong command of testing frameworks and database fundamentals.
• Hands-on experience in test-case design, test execution, automation scripting, and defect management.
• Knowledge of SQL queries or database testing.
• Experience with test management tools such as HP ALM, JIRA, or TFS.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
