US Accountant

About the Role

As a US Accountant at BrightHush, you will be responsible for preparing and reviewing financial statements, journal entries, and other accounting documents in accordance with US GAAP. You will also be involved in financial reporting, cash flow forecasting, and balance sheet reconciliation. Your primary focus will be on ensuring accurate and timely financial data for the company's US operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in accordance with US GAAP.
• Enter and reconcile journal entries, ensuring accurate and timely financial data.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations, identifying and resolving any discrepancies or issues.
• Develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date financial models, including cash flow forecasting and budgeting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely financial data for business decisions.
• Stay up-to-date with US accounting standards, laws, and regulations, ensuring compliance and accuracy in financial reporting.

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• 0-4 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a US-based company.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and Zoho accounting software.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and accounting standards.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with ability to work with cross-functional teams.
