About the Role

CGI Apprentice is seeking highly motivated and talented individuals to join their team as CGI Apprentices. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in software development, applications administration, and database operations.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Contribution to small enhancements and bug-fixes on production-grade enterprise applications
• Monitoring application health, managing configurations, and assisting seniors with environment maintenance
• Running queries, troubleshooting data issues, and assisting with routine database housekeeping tasks
• Supporting build and release activities, deployments, and post-deployment validations across environments
• Triage incidents, root-cause analyzing problems, and resolving user-facing issues within agreed SLAs
• Keeping ticket reporters updated, documenting workarounds, and escalating effectively when needed
• Working in rotational shifts and accepting extended hours when business-critical issues require it

What You'll Need

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• B.E / B.Tech graduate (any specialisation)
• Strong understanding of software development principles and practices
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively
• Basic knowledge of database operations and applications administration
