About the Role

Cisco seeks a committed Cloud DevOps Engineer to support cloud security initiatives in Bangalore.

Responsibilities

• Create, automate and optimise processes for software delivery for operations and development teams.
• Support CI/CD pipelines that allow smooth, stable deployments from development to production environments.
• Monitoring the performance of infrastructure and applications by using monitoring and observability solutions.
• Troubleshoot problems across different platforms, applications and cloud configurations.
• Improve the deployment, testing automation, and operational workflows with the help of engineering teams.
• Use best practices to ensure cloud security and reliability, scalability, and response to incidents.
• Create scripts, tools and automation solutions that increase the efficiency of engineers.
• Collaboration with programmers, DevOps experts, and administrators of the system to ensure that you are maintaining production services.
• Explore and adopt the latest techniques in cloud computing, as well as DevOps and site-reliability engineering.

What You'll Need

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology Engineering, Engineering, or in a technical field related to it.
• A recent graduate or early-career professional with a strong passion for Cloud DevOps, SRE, automation, or infrastructure.
• Solid foundation for software development as well as operating system principles.
• Basic scripting or programming skills in languages like Python, Java, JavaScript, Go, Bash, or Shell.
• Experience with Unix/Linux systems as well as command-line commands.
• Understanding of the basic concepts of cloud computing, including storage, computing, networking and managed services.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure through internships, projects or self-study.
• Experience with DevOps concepts that cover CI/CD, automation deployment pipelines, build pipelines and infrastructure in code.
• The ability to recognise container technologies, such as Docker (Kubernetes experience is considered to be an edge).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• A team-oriented mentality with a desire to quickly learn and adjust in ever-changing technology environments.
