About the Role
This job offers the chance for graduates in 2027 who wish to work with Cisco's engineers in India.
The focus is on developing, creating, constructing, and sustaining modern networking, security, and collaboration technology that provides global connectivity.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and design software applications using design-thinking principles and secure coding standards and best practices to simplify and protect the privacy of users.
- Develop scalable applications that can be accessed on multiple platforms and devices.
- Examine requirements, troubleshoot and debug issues, as well as improve software programs to incorporate new features and existing products.
- Create tools to support infrastructure operating systems and databases.
- Develop an efficient, clean code by using unit tests and participating in code reviews, as well as responding to feedback.
- Conduct tests to determine reliability scaling, performance, and reliability.
- Work with other teams on small to medium-sized aspects from conception to completion with agile methodologies.
- Participate in postmortems and provide support operations on call as required.
- Learn from the technical side and contribute to solving problems with the help of your team.
Available Focus Areas
Available focus areas include:
- Software Engineer Networking Protocols: requires solid foundations in networks, TCP/IP routing, switching, as well as security technologies like firewalls, VPN, IPsec, and TLS.
- Software Engineer Application Software: emphasizes object-oriented development, cloud scaling and development of user interface/experience.
- Software Engineer, Embedded Systems and Systems Development: The focus is upon operating systems, kernels and user-space programming, device drivers, along with system-level debugging.
What You'll Need
To be eligible for this role, you should have:
- Expected year of graduation: 2027.
- Bachelor's or Master's degrees with a focus on Computer Science, Engineering, or a similar field, with less than at least 0-1 years of professional working experience.
