About the Role

This PE-Accounting role at Cognizant Softvision involves handling day-to-day accounting tasks, maintaining financial records, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. As a fresher, you will be responsible for processing transactions, preparing financial statements, and analyzing financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement. You will work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Process financial transactions, including invoicing, payments, and reconciliations.
• Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Perform financial analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, laws, and regulations.
• Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, and budgets.
• Provide financial support to business units, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.com) or Master's degree in Commerce (M.com).
• Good knowledge of accounting principles, including GAAP and IFRS.
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
