About the Role
As an Intern on the Engineering team at CoinDCX, you’ll dive into the full software development lifecycle, writing code, testing, and debugging real‑world features that power a high‑traffic crypto platform. You’ll collaborate closely with senior engineers, product managers, and security specialists to deliver scalable, secure solutions that meet user needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement new features and fix bugs in a fast‑paced, production‑grade codebase using Java or Python.
- Write unit and integration tests to ensure reliability of services that handle millions of transactions.
- Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and learning best practices for clean, maintainable code.
- Design and optimize database queries in PostgreSQL or MongoDB to improve performance of data‑heavy endpoints.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (Product, Security, Marketing) to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Document APIs and internal modules using Swagger or similar tools to aid future developers.
- Monitor application metrics and troubleshoot production issues in a real‑time environment.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (currently pursuing or recently graduated).
- Strong grasp of data structures, algorithms, and basic system design.
- Proficiency in at least one language: Java, Python, Go, or JavaScript (Node.js).
- Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and RESTful API design.
- Familiarity with OOP principles and version control (Git).
- Basic knowledge of testing frameworks (JUnit, PyTest) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to ask questions.
