About the Role
As a Software Engineer at Copart, you will collaborate with senior engineers to build and enhance web applications based on prioritized business outcomes. You will write clean, efficient, and reusable code using React, Node.js, and related frameworks. Your primary focus will be on developing RESTful APIs using Node.js and Express, ensuring they follow best practices of performance, scalability, and maintainability.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior engineers to build and enhance web applications based on prioritized business outcomes.
- Write clean, efficient, and reusable code using React, Node.js, and related frameworks.
- Develop RESTful APIs using Node.js and Express, ensuring they follow best practices of performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Implement SQL queries to interact with databases (MariaDB).
- Participate in Scrum events and assist in achieving sprint goals.
- Learn and apply best practices for version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions).
Skills & Qualifications
- Foundational proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and database queries (MariaDB).
- Familiarity with Git for version control and tools like GitHub Actions for CI/CD.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to writing clean, maintainable code.
- Excellent communication skills and openness to constructive feedback.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
