About the Role

As a Junior Software Engineer at Cornerstone, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining automated test scripts using in-house test automation tools and frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Automated Test Script Development: Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Cornerstone’s in-house test automation tools and frameworks, ensuring comprehensive test coverage for all assigned features and modules.
• Collaboration with Development Team: Work closely with software developers to understand feature requirements, provide testability feedback early in the sprint cycle, and ensure test plans align with acceptance criteria.
• Test Execution and Defect Reporting: Execute automated and manual test cases to verify software functionality and reliability; identify, analyse, and clearly report software defects with reproducible steps for the development team.
• Test Data and Environment Management: Create and maintain test data, test environments, and comprehensive test documentation to support consistent and repeatable automated test execution.
• Test Planning Participation: Actively participate in test planning, estimation, and test strategy discussions as part of Cornerstone’s agile sprint ceremonies.
• Process Improvement: Contribute innovative ideas to the continuous improvement of the test automation process and tooling, staying current with the latest testing methodologies, frameworks, and best practices.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams spanning engineering, product management, and design to ensure high-quality software releases that meet customer expectations and industry standards.

What You'll Need

• B.E/B.Tech in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Knowledge of agile methodologies, test automation tools, and frameworks.
• Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
