US Tax Law Analyst | $30/hr Remote (India)

About the Role
As a US Tax Law Analyst at Crossing Hurdles, you will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting US tax laws, regulations, and statutes to ensure compliance with Internal Revenue Code and Treasury Regulations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to provide tax law analysis and support for business decisions. Your expertise in statutory interpretation and tax law analysis will be invaluable in helping the company navigate complex tax scenarios.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research and analysis of US tax laws, regulations, and statutes to ensure compliance with Internal Revenue Code and Treasury Regulations.
- Provide tax law analysis and support for business decisions, including financial modeling and forecasting.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and statutes, including updates and changes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, accounting, and legal, to ensure tax compliance and minimize tax liabilities.
- Prepare and review tax-related documents, including tax returns, tax audits, and tax appeals.
- Stay up-to-date with tax law changes and updates, and communicate changes to relevant stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain relationships with tax authorities, including the IRS, to ensure compliance and minimize tax liabilities.
Skills & Qualifications
- Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification.
- Enrolled Agent (EA) certification or ability to obtain within 6 months.
- Strong knowledge of Internal Revenue Code, statutory interpretation, and US tax statutes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to interpret complex tax laws and regulations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Proficiency in tax software, including tax preparation and planning tools.
