Assistant Professor (Artificial Intelligence)

About the Role

As an Assistant Professor in the AI First Team at Dayananda Sagar University, you will be part of a pioneering academic AI program, leveraging cutting-edge NVIDIA technology to teach, train, and build across Generative AI, Agentic AI, and allied domains.

You will work closely with students, faculty, and industry partners to develop hands-on projects, labs, and use-cases on the University's GPU infrastructure, contributing to research, publications, and applied AI initiatives across Centres of Excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach and mentor students in AI/ML, Generative AI, and Large Language Models (LLMs), and Agentic AI.
• Deliver NVIDIA DLI-aligned training and support faculty/student certification cohorts.
• Build hands-on projects, labs, and use-cases on the University's GPU infrastructure.
• Contribute to research, publications, and applied AI initiatives across Centres of Excellence.
• Guide student projects and support curriculum integration of industry AI frameworks.
• Develop and maintain a strong network of industry partners and collaborators.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI and ML, and integrate them into teaching and research.

Skills & Qualifications

• M.Tech in any branch (Engineering / Technology).
• Demonstrated proficiency in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
• Strong foundation in AI/ML concepts, deep learning, and Python.
• Working knowledge of Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and Agentic AI.
• Familiarity with prompt engineering, RAG, fine-tuning, and modern AI toolchains.
• Hands-on experience with NVIDIA libraries / frameworks — e.g. NeMo, NIM, TensorRT-LLM, RAPIDS, CUDA, Triton, or the NVIDIA AI Enterprise stack.
• NVIDIA-Certified Associate/Professional (NCA/NCP — Generative AI LLM, Agentic AI, or allied) certification.
• Project, research, or industry experience in applied AI.
