About the Role

As a Financial Accountant at DCK ASSOCIATES, you will be responsible for preparing and reviewing financial statements, reconciliations, and other financial reports in accordance with Australian accounting standards and Australian GAAP. You will also be involved in analyzing financial data, identifying trends, and providing insights to management. Your role will play a crucial part in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in accordance with Australian accounting standards and Australian GAAP.
• Conduct reconciliations of general ledger accounts, including bank reconciliations, and investigate any discrepancies or irregularities.
• Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of Australian tax concepts and ensure compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
• Provide analytical support to management by identifying trends and insights from financial data, and making recommendations for process improvements.
• Collaborate with other teams, including accounting, finance, and management, to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Stay up-to-date with changes in Australian accounting standards, Australian GAAP, and tax laws and regulations, and ensure that financial reporting is compliant with these changes.
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, tax authorities, and other regulatory bodies.

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Professional certification in accounting, such as CA or CPA, is an advantage.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Strong understanding of Australian accounting standards, Australian GAAP, and tax laws and regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software, including general ledger and financial reporting tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
