About the Role
As a Firmware Engineer / Electronics Engineer at Digital Surveillance Inc., you will be responsible for designing and developing firmware for robotics applications. This involves writing code for microcontrollers, integrating sensors and actuators, and ensuring seamless communication between hardware and software components.
Day-to-day tasks may include debugging and optimizing firmware, collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues, and staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in robotics and electronics.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop firmware for robotics applications using microcontrollers and programming languages like Python and C.
- Integrate sensors and actuators to enable robotics systems to interact with their environment.
- Collaborate with software engineers to ensure seamless communication between hardware and software components.
- Debug and optimize firmware to improve system performance and reliability.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in robotics and electronics to inform design decisions.
- Contribute to the development of new robotics products and features.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of the codebase.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proficiency in programming languages like Python, C, and C++.
- Experience with microcontrollers, such as Arduino and Raspberry Pi Pico.
- Familiarity with sensors and actuators, including analog and digital electronics.
- Knowledge of embedded systems and embedded programming.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams and communicate technical information effectively.
- Basic understanding of robotics and electronics concepts.
