Fullstack Developer

About the Role

This Fullstack Developer role at e42.ai involves designing, developing, testing, and maintaining web applications using modern technologies. You will work on both front-end and back-end development, ensuring seamless integration and functionality across the entire stack. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to implement features, optimize application performance, and resolve any technical challenges will be key parts of the role.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain backend services using Django / Django REST Framework and FastAPI.
• Develop rich, responsive UIs using React + TypeScript.
• Design efficient database schemas and queries (PostgreSQL / MySQL).
• Integrate REST APIs and ensure smooth data flow across components.
• Use AI tools effectively to build faster, then review and test what they produce.
• Write secure, maintainable, and well-tested code, and be able to explain why it works.
• Troubleshoot performance issues and optimize application scalability.

Skills & Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Django, Django REST Framework, FastAPI, React, Hooks, State Management, JavaScript / TypeScript, HTML, CSS.
• Hands-on experience using AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, or similar) in real work, and good judgment on when to trust or reject their output.
• Excellent communication skills to explain a technical decision to both an engineer and a non-technical person.
• Experience with Docker and containerized development.
• Good understanding of Git, CI/CD, and API security best practices.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
