State & Local Taxation Associate

About the Role

As a State & Local Taxation Associate at Eide Bailly, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and review of state and local tax returns, as well as providing support in the development and implementation of tax compliance processes.

This role will involve working closely with the tax team to ensure accurate and timely completion of tax-related tasks, as well as maintaining up-to-date knowledge of state and local tax laws and regulations.

Day-to-day activities will include data analysis, documentation, and communication with clients and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and review of state and local tax returns, including use tax compliance processes.
• Support the development and implementation of tax compliance processes, including data analysis and documentation.
• Provide support to the tax team in maintaining up-to-date knowledge of state and local tax laws and regulations.
• Assist in the maintenance of accurate and complete records, including large datasets.
• Communicate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure timely completion of tax-related tasks.
• Contribute to the development of audit readiness and process adherence.

Skills & Qualifications

• MS Excel: Proficiency in using MS Excel for data analysis and documentation.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
• Documentation: Strong documentation skills to maintain accurate and complete records.
• Sales: Basic understanding of sales concepts and principles.
• US Taxation Concepts: Familiarity with US taxation concepts and laws.
• Handling Large Datasets: Ability to handle and analyze large datasets.
• Process Adherence: Strong understanding of process adherence and audit readiness.
• Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or a related field.
