Associate Analyst - TAX - National - TAX - Indirect Tax - Core - Gurgaon

About the Role

As an Associate Analyst in EY's Indirect Tax team, you will be responsible for providing analytical support to senior team members in the preparation of tax returns, compliance, and advisory services. Your day-to-day tasks will involve data analysis, financial modeling, and research to identify trends and insights that inform business decisions. You will work closely with the team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of tax returns, compliance, and advisory services for clients across various industries.
• Conduct data analysis and financial modeling to identify trends and insights that inform business decisions.
• Research and stay up-to-date on tax laws, regulations, and industry developments to provide informed advice to clients.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
• Collaborate with senior team members to identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
• Prepare and present reports, presentations, and other materials to clients and internal stakeholders.
• Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge in tax, finance, and business acumen.

Skills & Qualifications

• Strong analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to collect and analyze data to identify trends and insights.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, with experience in data analysis, financial modeling, and data visualization.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
• Good time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Good knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and industry developments.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
