About the Role

As an Advanced Analyst in EY's Valuations team, you will play a crucial role in helping clients understand the value of their business, securities, intellectual property, intangibles, and other assets. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve working on valuation engagements for financial reporting, tax, and management planning purposes.

You will also be exposed to engagements for intangible business valuations across various sectors, including mergers and acquisitions, financial reporting, tax, and regulatory compliance.

Additionally, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills in financial modelling, report writing, and detailed financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Work on valuation engagements for financial reporting, tax, and management planning purposes.
• Exposure to engagements for intangible business valuations across various sectors.
• Develop and maintain financial models using MS Excel and related software.
• Conduct secondary research and write reports on business valuations.
• Stay abreast of current business and economic developments relevant to our clients' businesses.
• Maintain and develop positive, productive, and professional relationships with EY offices globally.
• Use current technology and tools to enhance the effectiveness of services provided.

Skills & Qualifications

• Postgraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Business.
• 0-1 years of related work experience in utilizing valuation techniques and methodologies.
• Excellent thoughtfulness, project management, communication, interpersonal, and teaming skills.
• Understanding of Equity Research, Investment Banking, and Corporate Finance.
• Computer proficiency in MS Excel, VBA, MATLAB, Python, R, MS Word, PowerPoint, and Bloomberg.
• Exposure to databases such as Capital IQ.
