Tester (Kochi)

About the Role

As a Tester at EY, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of software applications by identifying and reporting defects. Your day-to-day tasks will involve manual functional testing, creating and executing test cases, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct manual functional testing to identify defects and report them in a timely manner.
• Create and execute test cases to ensure thorough testing of software applications.
• Collaborate with development teams to reproduce and resolve defects.
• Participate in peer reviews to ensure high-quality testing and improve testing processes.
• Use Azure DevOps and Jira to track and manage test cases, defects, and testing activities.
• Communicate testing results and defects to stakeholders and development teams.
• Stay up-to-date with Agile methodologies and testing best practices.

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Manual functional testing skills and experience with software testing life cycle.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in Azure DevOps and Jira for test case management and defect tracking.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and testing best practices.
• Familiarity with peer review processes and continuous improvement.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
