Falkonry provides AI-native observability tools to improve situational awareness in the military and at blue chip companies. These patented tools allow engineers to reduce noise, identify root causes, and cut operating costs from metrics, telemetry, sensor and control systems data.   Responsibilities Design and develop backend services and APIs that power the TSI platform. Build and maintain high-throughput data ingestion and streaming pipelines handling diverse industrial protocols. Develop infrastructure for agentic workflows, ML model management, inference scheduling, and dependency tracking. Work on cloud-native architecture supporting public cloud, private cloud, on-premises, and air-gapped deployments. Optimize systems for performance, reliability, and cost at scale. Collaborate closely with the product and frontend teams to deliver end-to-end capabilities. Participate in code reviews, system design discussions, and incident response. Requirements Strong fundamentals in computer science, data structures, algorithms, and systems design. Proficiency in one or more backend languages (e. g., Java, Python, Scala, or similar). Understanding of distributed systems, RESTful APIs, and database design (SQL and/or NoSQL). Ability to learn quickly, work independently, and take ownership of deliverables. Contributions to open source or personal projects demonstrating engineering depth. Nice-to-haves Experience with stream processing frameworks (Kafka, Flink, or similar). Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
