Accountant

About the Role

As an Accountant at Fixzip Chemical, you will be responsible for managing the company's financial transactions, preparing and reviewing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and tax regulations.

Day-to-day tasks will include data entry, accounts payable and receivable management, and financial analysis to inform business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, and ensure accurate and timely recording in the company's accounting system.
• Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to ensure compliance with GAAP and tax regulations.
• Perform financial analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for cost savings, and provide recommendations to management.
• Develop and maintain relationships with external auditors, tax professionals, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial reports to inform business decisions.
• Stay up-to-date with changes in tax regulations, accounting standards, and other relevant laws and regulations.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial information is shared and utilized.

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• Proficiency in financial accounting software, such as QuickBooks or SAP.
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and tax regulations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to interpret financial data and identify trends.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• 1-4 years of experience in accounting or related field, preferably in a manufacturing or chemical industry.
