About the Role

This Python Backend Developer role at GlobalLogic India involves developing, maintaining, and implementing software code using Python and Java technologies, with a focus on backend development, data analysis, and integration with multiple backend services.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and implement software code using Python and Java technologies.
• Design and develop code using technologies such as Python, Tornado, Jinja2, and Java.
• Integrate with multiple backend services, implement payment processing and subscription management, and work in a multi-service architecture.
• Participate in internal code walkthroughs and develop automated unit test procedures.
• Contribute to software requirement definition and verification activities.
• Evaluate proposed solutions to problems and troubleshoot difficult problems across software components.
• Provide subject matter expertise on software techniques, methodologies, and processes to customers, suppliers, application users, and other technical and support personnel.

Skills & Qualifications

• Proficiency in Python, Java, and JavaScript programming languages.
• Experience with backend development, data analysis, and integration with multiple backend services.
• Knowledge of technologies such as Tornado, Jinja2, PostgreSQL, NoSQL, Redis, and microservices architecture.
• Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies, and tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and Git.
• Knowledge of software integrity tools such as Coverity, SonarQube, and Rapid7.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team environment.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
