About the Role
Join Barclays as a Software Engineer, where you will be responsible for supporting the successful delivery of Location Strategy projects to plan, budget, agreed quality and governance standards.
You will spearhead the evolution of our digital landscape, driving innovation and excellence.
Responsibilities
- Builds well tested, maintainable features across frontend and backend, following architectural guidelines and secure coding practices.
- Implements APIs, data access, and UI components; writes automated tests (unit/integration) and participates in code reviews.
- Adopts AI assist tools to improve productivity (code completion, test generation, documentation), applying team standards and review discipline.
- Works closely with Senior Engineers to refine designs, estimate work, and deliver in small, frequent releases with CI/CD.
What You'll Need
- Thorough understanding of the underlying principles and concepts within the area of expertise.
- Strong technical knowledge and experience in software engineering.
- Ability to work collaboratively with product managers, designers, and other engineers.
