About the Role

As an Associate Software Development Engineer at Harmonic, you will be part of the Broadband Devices Team, where you will be responsible for developing software features for Embedded Systems, collaborating with hardware teams, and troubleshooting and debugging network devices and products.

This role involves working on cutting-edge projects, collaborating with top talent, and being part of a company that's making a real impact in the field of virtualized broadband solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop software features for Embedded Systems
• Debug and resolve complex cross-layer system issues reported by QA and customers
• Perform root cause analysis and implement long-term corrective and preventive solutions
• Collaborate with hardware teams to ensure seamless integration of software and hardware components
• Work on troubleshooting and debugging network devices and products
• Develop and maintain high-quality code, following industry standards and best practices
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of the codebase

Skills & Qualifications

• BE in Electronics and Communication or Computer Science with 85% or 8.5 CGPA
• Excellent programming skills in C/C++
• Knowledge of Layer 2/3 networking protocols
• Linux knowledge (advantage)
• Scripting tools/languages (Perl, Python, Bash, etc.) (advantage)
• High level of interpersonal skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with different groups
• Fluent English (writing and speaking)
