Ansible Automation Engineer

About the Role

This Ansible Automation Engineer role involves implementing and executing automation solutions using Ansible, focusing on infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment across Linux environments.

You will work with playbooks, ad hoc commands, and inventories, developing and maintaining basic playbooks and reusable roles, and consuming and customizing community roles and collections from Ansible Galaxy.

Additionally, you will write task definitions, templates, and variable structures in YAML and Jinja2, and use Git for version control of playbooks and documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and execute automation solutions using Ansible for infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment across Linux environments.
• Develop and maintain basic playbooks and reusable roles using Ansible Playbooks & Roles.
• Consume and customize community roles and collections from Ansible Galaxy.
• Write task definitions, templates, and variable structures in YAML and Jinja2.
• Use Git for version control of playbooks and documentation.
• Troubleshoot and optimize automation workflows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure stable, scalable, and secure infrastructure operations.

Skills & Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Ansible.
• Good knowledge of Linux/Unix administration.
• Experience with YAML, Jinja2 templating, and Git.
• Understanding of REST APIs and integrations.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.).
• Basic scripting knowledge (Python/Bash/PowerShell).
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure / AWS / GCP) is a plus.
• Experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools is a plus.
• Understanding of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
