About the Role

This role involves working on the backend of popular e-commerce platforms like Shopify and WordPress, focusing on developing and maintaining custom integrations, APIs, and plugins to enhance the user experience and streamline business operations.

As a Wordpress and Shopify Backend Developer, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless integration of various systems, troubleshooting technical issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain custom plugins, themes, and APIs for Shopify and WordPress using PHP, Liquid, and other relevant technologies.
• Design and implement efficient database solutions using MySQL to optimize performance and scalability.
• Collaborate with the development team to integrate third-party services and APIs, ensuring seamless data exchange and minimal downtime.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to plugin and theme development, API integrations, and database management.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and security guidelines.
• Participate in the development of technical documentation, including API documentation, plugin guides, and troubleshooting resources.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in Shopify and WordPress, attending webinars, workshops, and conferences to enhance skills and knowledge.

Skills & Qualifications

• Proficiency in PHP, WordPress, Shopify, Liquid, MySQL, Git, Elementor, Divi, WPBakery, and API integration.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 0-4 years of experience in web development, with a focus on e-commerce platforms and custom integrations.
• Strong understanding of database management, including MySQL and data modeling.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Passion for staying up-to-date with the latest developments in Shopify and WordPress.
