Techno Functional Intern - IT Operations

About the Role

As a Techno Functional Intern in IT Operations, you will spend your days troubleshooting Oracle E-Business Suite queries, assisting with database maintenance, and providing remote support to thousands of internal users across time zones. You’ll work closely with senior analysts to resolve incidents, log changes, and ensure smooth operation of critical business systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to functional assistance incidents from Oracle EBS users, performing root‑cause analysis and documenting solutions.
• Assist in the deployment of new hardware and software, including inventory logging and configuration management.
• Use Oracle SQL/PLSQL to extract data, generate reports, and support ad‑hoc queries for business stakeholders.
• Collaborate with the Help Desk to triage tickets, provide status updates, and close incidents within SLA.
• Escalate complex issues to senior support teams and track resolution progress.
• Participate in 24/7 shift rotations, ensuring coverage for critical infrastructure during peak hours.
• Maintain accurate records of incidents, changes, and service requests in the ticketing system.

Skills & Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (BTech, BE, MCA).
• Basic knowledge of Oracle SQL and PLSQL; ability to write simple queries and understand database schemas.
• Familiarity with Oracle E‑Business Suite architecture (ideal but not mandatory).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for interacting with end‑users and documenting solutions.
• Experience with ITIL concepts or a willingness to learn; certifications in SQL, Oracle EBS, or Cloud are a plus.
• Comfortable working in a shift‑based, 27/7 support model and collaborating across time zones.
• Basic understanding of networking, collaboration tools, and system administration.
