Marketing Intern - Tamil

About the Role

As a Marketing Intern focused on Tamil content, you’ll spend most of your time researching local trends, scripting engaging stories, and shooting short videos for Instagram and YouTube. You’ll also help the team keep the brand voice consistent across all posts and track how each piece performs in real time.

Key Responsibilities

• Brainstorm and plan weekly content calendars that resonate with Tamil‑speaking audiences.
• Write scripts and storyboards for long‑form YouTube videos and short Instagram reels.
• Assist in shooting, editing, and post‑production of video content using basic editing tools.
• Create graphics and captions that align with Jar’s brand guidelines.
• Monitor engagement metrics, run A/B tests on captions, and suggest optimizations.
• Collaborate with the product team to explain UPI‑based saving features in simple Tamil.
• Support on‑ground marketing events and help capture moments for social media.

Skills & Qualifications

• Fluency in Tamil and strong written communication in the language.
• Basic knowledge of social media platforms, especially Instagram and YouTube.
• Experience with video shooting and editing (e.g., using InShot, CapCut, or Adobe Premiere Rush).
• Understanding of user research methods to gauge what content drives engagement.
• Familiarity with UPI and digital gold savings concepts helps explain product benefits.
• Degree in Marketing, Communications, Media Studies, or a related field (or pursuing one).
• Portfolio of any social media posts, scripts, or videos you’ve created.
