Video Player Engineer

About the Role

This role offers the opportunity to build and enhance the technology behind large-scale digital video experiences. As a Video Player Engineer, you will contribute to the development of reliable, high-performance streaming solutions used by audiences worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, deploy, and test software solutions supporting large-scale video workflows and streaming platforms.
• Develop and maintain applications using modern programming technologies such as React.js, Golang, or similar languages.
• Collaborate with engineering, product management, project teams, and backend technology teams to solve complex technical challenges.
• Contribute to software architecture decisions by evaluating technical approaches, scalability, reliability, and performance trade-offs.
• Improve development practices by strengthening CI/CD workflows, testing strategies, and engineering standards.
• Analyze existing systems, identify improvement opportunities, and implement solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
• Participate in production support activities, including Tier 3 on-call rotations for services developed and operated by the team.

Skills & Qualifications

• Strong software development experience with React.js, Golang, or equivalent programming languages.
• Solid understanding of software design principles, architecture patterns, and technical trade-offs.
• Experience working with AWS or other cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with containerized environments, microservices architectures, and distributed systems.
• Good understanding of the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Experience building scalable cloud-based services and production-grade applications.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and modern engineering workflows.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex technical issues.
• Good communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with engineering and business stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
