Online Coding Teachers

About the Role

As an Online Coding Teacher at K12 Activity Academy, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality coding lessons to students of various age groups, from classes 1 to 12, and even college students under 20 years old. Your primary focus will be on teaching programming languages such as Scratch, HTML, JavaScript, Python, and AI/ML & DS concepts. You will need to design engaging and structured lesson plans that cater to diverse learners and promote inclusive teaching practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deliver online coding lessons for students of classes 1 to 12 and college students under 20 years old.
• Develop and implement age-appropriate coding curricula for students of different age groups.
• Teach programming languages such as Scratch, HTML, JavaScript, Python, and AI/ML & DS concepts.
• Use video conferencing and learning management tools to facilitate remote learning.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to improve their coding skills.
• Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports learners from diverse backgrounds.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in coding and AI/ML & DS to enhance your teaching practices.

Skills & Qualifications

• Strong teaching and training skills with experience in delivering online or classroom-based instruction.
• Solid background in education and lesson planning, including the ability to design structured, age-appropriate coding curricula.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to beginners and diverse learners.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Java, Scratch, AI/ML & DS).
• Familiarity with common coding platforms or IDEs.
• Prior experience teaching or mentoring K–12 or early college students in STEM or computer science is highly beneficial.
• Comfort with remote work, including reliable internet access and ability to use video conferencing and learning management tools.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Education, or a related field.
• Certifications in teaching or education (optional).
