About the Role

The Application Management Engineer role at LSEG involves providing application support for critical production, pre-production, and test functions. This includes investigating issues, developing fixes, supporting new releases, and performing general maintenance and administration.

As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for resolving incidents and problems, monitoring ServiceNow for incidents, and analyzing problems to decide on suitable resolutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support of LSEG Post Trade / London Clearing House (LCH) applications related to Shared Technical Platforms / Clearing Services, including SwapAgent & newly launched RepoAgent service.
  • Resolve Incidents and Problems, ensuring timely and effective resolution to minimize business impact.
  • Monitor ServiceNow for Incidents, analyzing problems and deciding on suitable resolutions.
  • Apply resolutions following the LCH Change Management procedure, ensuring compliance with ITIL standards.
  • Report status to relevant business and IT teams, maintaining open communication throughout the incident resolution process.
  • Record progress of incident resolution in ServiceNow, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.

Skills & Qualifications

  • B.Tech/BE graduate in Computer Science or related field.
  • UNIX/Linux working or hands-on experience, with scripting skills in Shell scripting.
  • Exposure to DevOps and related technologies, including CI/CD, Jenkins, Ansible.
  • Experience with AWS Cloud Technologies, including EC2, EBS, RDS, VPC.
  • Knowledge of Network Diagnostics and troubleshooting, with hands-on experience in version control repository Control M or alternate job schedule exposure.
  • Understanding of product development lifecycle and methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience of working in an IT support team, with ability to communicate clearly and concisely to IT and business teams and to senior management.

In this role, you will gain hands-on experience in application management, incident resolution, and problem-solving. You will learn to work with critical production, pre-production, and test functions, and develop skills in monitoring ServiceNow for incidents and applying resolutions following the LCH Change Management procedure.

You will also have the opportunity to work with a range of technologies, including UNIX/Linux, Shell scripting, DevOps, and AWS Cloud Technologies.
