About the Role

An Aviation Claims Surveyor at McLarens Aviation plays a crucial role in investigating and assessing aircraft damage, ensuring that insurance claims are handled efficiently and fairly. This involves collaborating with various stakeholders, including insurance companies, aircraft owners, and repair facilities. The successful candidate will possess strong technical knowledge of aircraft maintenance and repair, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough investigations of aircraft damage, gathering evidence and assessing the extent of damage.
  • Collaborate with insurance companies to determine the validity of claims and negotiate settlements.
  • Work closely with aircraft owners and repair facilities to ensure that repairs are carried out efficiently and to a high standard.
  • Prepare and submit detailed written reports on claims investigations and settlements.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including insurance companies and repair facilities.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and regulatory changes, ensuring that McLarens Aviation remains compliant with all relevant regulations.
  • Contribute to the growth and development of the Aviation Claims team, sharing knowledge and best practices with colleagues.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong technical knowledge of aircraft maintenance and repair, including structural repairs and aircraft systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Business development and marketing skills, with the ability to identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to pursue them.
  • DGCA Licensed engineer, or equivalent qualification.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
