Tally Accountant

About the Role

A Tally Accountant at Mettalco is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts receivable and payable, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. This role involves working closely with the finance team to prepare financial reports, reconcile accounts, and implement inventory management systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and experience with Tally ERP.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain accurate financial records, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger.
• Prepare and review financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Reconcile accounts and ensure accuracy of financial data.
• Implement and maintain inventory management systems to track stock levels and optimize supply chain operations.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and prepare tax returns as required.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts to inform business decisions.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to negotiate prices and improve supply chain efficiency.

Skills & Qualifications

• Tally ERP certification or experience with Tally ERP.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
• Experience with accounting software, including Tally ERP, QuickBooks, or Xero.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve financial discrepancies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or related field.
• Knowledge of GST and tax compliance regulations.
