Job Description
About the Role
As an Accountant-1 at Michelin, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. You will work closely with the finance team to identify areas for cost savings and process improvements, and contribute to the development of financial models and forecasts.
Day-to-day tasks will include reviewing and reconciling financial transactions, preparing journal entries, and analyzing financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and reconcile financial transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Prepare journal entries and general ledger accounts to ensure compliance with accounting standards
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement
- Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements
- Assist in the development of financial models and forecasts to inform business decisions
- Contribute to the identification of areas for cost savings and process improvements
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- 0-4 years of experience in accounting or finance
- Proficiency in accounting software, such as QuickBooks or SAP
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
- Certifications in accounting, such as CPA or CMA, a plus
